Report by Bev Lewis, Fox-Fire Publishing Inc.
We learned so much in one day. An incredible amount of information passed at the recent Jean Dodds event (October 17, 2010). Anyone wishing copies of the hand outs, please contact bev@foxfirepublishing.ca. Dr. Dodds has graciously given permission for the handouts to be shared widely as long as her name and Hemopet are kept attached. If you ever get a chance to attend a Jean Dodds seminar, do not miss it. While Dr. Dodds is readily available to answer our questions, it should be remembered that donations to Hemopet www.hemopet.org would be greatly appreciated in lieu of a fee which is never charged for her phone consultations... this lady even answers her own phone. I have personally spoken to her by phone with issues with my dog.
(left) We presented Dr. Dodds with a token of our esteem on behalf of Fox-fire Publishing and the attendees... a micro fibre throw embroidered with a paw print and Rabies Challenge 2010. Attendees also presented her with a journal with private/special messages to her from those who were enthralled with her message.

Clicking HERE will download the form to purchase a DVD of a 2010 seminar with Dr. Schultz: All proceeds to the Rabies Challenge.

Monica Segal (above) was also on hand selling and signing her books. She introduced Dr. Dodds who not only recommends Monica for developing special diets, but also referred to her several times throughout the day for nutrition questions. Monica's husband Morley joined in to help with book sales which were very brisk. You can still order books directly from Monica at www.monicasegal.com/

The Dog Legislation Council of Canada www.dlcc.ca/aboutus managed to raise $1000 for their work, thanks in part to the lively raffle sales
To the left is the photo of the raffle basket, valued at $275.00 which included: Faux Fur Throw, 2 Ceramic dog bowls, piggy toy, ball toy, stamped metal dog tag, collar charms, 1 Yr Subscription to Dogs in Canada, 1 Dogs in Canada Annual, 4 issues of Dogs in Canada, Wally's World book by Marsha Boulton, leather dog collar and lead, Ascenta supplements both canine and feline

Among the many attendees were several vets. Attendees came from as far away as Saskatchewan and all reaches of Ontario and Quebec.

Olga Esman of Poodleit donated our first door prize which was a ladies' Bling T decorated with Swarovski crystal AND a hand crafted and personally designed, decorator protective toy cover for those much coveted water bottles that dogs just love to chew. Bling Ts, along with her dog coats, made to measure can be found at www.poodleit.com. Attendees would remember the sample of her coat at the entrance pictured above. There is even a measurement guide for you to make sure that your custom made outfit is a perfect fit. Pictured left is the winner of the door prize.
Fast friends were made as well as an awesome amount of information presented. Pictured to the right are three ladies who will be organizing a "titer clinic" so that everyone can afford to have titers on their dogs.
Last  but certainly not least, we have some photos of  4 legged outdoor attendees. After all, it is all about the dogs isn't it?
