- Committee participant consisting of dog experts from around the world, sponsored by the American Humane Society to develop ethics and practices for humane dog training
- Developed the concept of "Growl Classes" which utilize humane behavior modification techniques to retrain dogs with aggressive behavior towards humans and/or other dogs
- Instructed dog obedience for three separate organizations for 15 years before opening her own school in Toronto: Good Dog Training School, in 1989
- Attended numerous training seminars by: Job Michael Evans, Carol Lee Benjamin, Jack and Wendy Volhard, Dr. Ian Dunbar and the University of Guelph Behavioral Science Department.
